If you like cookie bars or S’mores bars, why not try lemon cheesecake bars. This fuss-free cheesecake is only a few simple steps away from a delicious summer time treat.
Ingredients:
- 1 package of Lemon Cake
- 1 can (22-oz.) Lemon Topping
- 4 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 (8-oz.) packages cream cheese, at room temp
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon zest (optional)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- 9-inch baking pan
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Optional to spray a 9-inch baking pan with a cooking spray. Place lemon topping in pan.
Place evenly throughout pan.
In small bowl melt butter.
Place lemon cake mix in medium size bowl and mix melted butter into the cake mix.
Make sure the mixture is well mixed, but do not over mix making sure the cake mix has texture.
Set aside, and take out the cream cheese. Place small scoops of cream cheese on top of the lemon mixture.
Next, place cake mixture on top of cheesecake mixutre.
Let sit for 2 to 5 minutes. Place inside the oven at 350°F for 25 to 30 minutes.
Let mixture cool for 10 to 15 minutes.
Optional to serve with ice-cream or whip cream!
