The Lil’ Iguana Children’s Safety Foundation has created an app that is designed to give you peace of mind through helping you make sure your loved ones are safe and sound.  SafetySnapp is a mobile app designed to help parents with children, those caring for loved ones with memory loss, and for caregivers of individuals with disabilities. Through features such as Daily Alarms, Emergency Alerts, GPS Tracking, and Memory Keeping, SafetySnapp is a cutting-edge app that will give the user what they need most in the event that their loved one goes missing.

Daily Alarms-

     Every morning, a set alarm will remind you to take a picture of your loved one.  With this photo, you are able to document what your loved one is wearing, their current hairstyle, blemishes, scrapes and any recent changes in their mood or behavior.

Too often, when a loved one goes missing, family members are unable to supply a recent picture.  Most pictures given to authorities are from months or years ago.  Not only do they lack a recent picture, but in all of the stress, they are unable to accurately describe what the loved one is wearing or recall specific details about their appearance.  SafetySnapp eliminates this problem.  With the daily alarm feature, caregivers are ready with the information needed in an emergency situation to make sure that their loved one is found and returned quickly and safely.

Alarms can also be set to remind users to watch their loved ones walk home from school, get on the bus, carpool home and much more with the GPS Tracking feature.

Emergency Alerts –

In the event that your loved one does go missing, SafetySnapp gives you the ability to contact a primary level of contacts such as family, friends, neighbors, teachers, etc.  The emergency alerts are sent via text message and email.  The alerts include the most recent photo of the loved one, their last known location, any recent changes in behavior or mood and a physical description of them.  After the primary level is contacted, users can send an emergency alert to emergency services such as the police, hospitals, Amber Alert and local press.  The event of a loved one going missing is filled with stress and anxiety.  SafetySnapp helps relieve the stress of this event by giving you the important information and the tools to locate and bring your loved one home.

GPS Tracking –

SafetySnapp includes a feature called “Follow My Loved One” that allows caregivers to know where  their loved ones are  in an instant through GPS tracking.  By downloading a  mini-version of SafetySnapp to your loved one’s iPhone, iPad, iPod or Android device, the “Follow My Loved One” feature shows the  caregiver the pin-point location of their  loved one. Whether it is watching your  child get off the bus while you are at work, or finding a loved one who has wandered  off at the park or mall, the “Follow My Loved One”  feature can help give you peace of mind.

Memory Keeping –

SafetySnapp also allows you to store and cherish precious photos.  SafetySnapp includes scrapbooking software that helps you chronicle your child growing up and it can help you record special moments with loved ones.  Using SafetySnapp on your device or your PC, you can create photo collages to cherish, share with friends, share with distant family or post on your social media pages.
