Watermelon Shaped Cereal Treat

INGREDIENTS

6 cups (colored) Rice Crispy Cereal
6 cups (colored) mini or jumbo marshmallows
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Gel food coloring
Circle cake pan
Chocolate chips (optional)

DIRECTIONS

Step 1 :

In two separate medium mixing bowls, measure 3 cups of marshmallows each. In two separate large bowls, measure 3 cups of rice crispy cereal each. Cut the measured butter in half and place one half in a bowl with marshmallows.

Step 2 :

Melt marshmallows and butter together. (this can be done in the microwave by cooking the ingredients for 2 minutes on medium heat, or you can place the ingredients and melt them on medium heat in a saucepan). Color one bowl green.

Step 3 :

Color one bowl red. Pour the rice crispy cereal into the melted mixture.

Step 4 :

Mix all the ingredients together. Once everything is evenly mixed, place green mixture around the edge of a cake pan (be careful not to burn yourself, but also pack the mixture before it cools).
